Bentley has introduced a special edition of its Continental GT and convertible GTC in celebration of 100 years of Le Mans and 20 years since the company's last win at the 24-hour race. Limited to only 48 units, the cars are finished in Verdant green with a Moonbeam white racing stripe down the center, featuring a number '7' painted on the front grille to represent the race number of the Bentley Speed 8 prototype that won Le Mans in 2003.

The dashboard facia of the limited-edition cars features six winning wreaths that pay tribute to Bentley's Le Mans triumphs in the years 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, and 2003. The dashboard also comes with a bespoke digital clock with a 24-hour dial in place of the usual 12-hour timepiece.

The Bentley Continental Le Mans Collection is fascinating because it contains a valve from the 2003 Le Mans-winning car's engine. Bentley created 48 "artifacts" by cutting 24 of the 32 valves from the Speed 8's race-winning 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The half-valve is placed inside the car’s rotating dashboard, flanked by an outside temperature dial and a stopwatch. The dashboard can be rotated electronically between three faces: one that shows the two dials and engine valve, another with a touchscreen infotainment display, and the third with a blank piece of wood veneer.

This Le Mans Collection is produced by Bentley’s Mulliner division, which also developed a series of 'continuation' cars intended to be exact replicas of Bentley's supercharged race cars of the 1920s, as well as the bespoke Bacalar. Two exterior design options are available for the Le Mans Collection. The Blackline design features a tribute to the 2008 race car's black and green color scheme, while the Styling setup incorporates a generous amount of exposed carbon fiber embellished with Moonshine pinstripes.

Moreover, the beluga black paint was selected for the lower front bumper, wing mirror caps and the area below the trunk spoiler. The car also comes with black 22-inch, ten-spoke wheels, behind which are carbon ceramic brakes with red calipers. The cars are powered by the same 6.0-liter, W12 engine as the regular Continental GT and convertible GTC, generating 659 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. These vehicles possess impressive capabilities, with the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, and a top speed of 208 mph. They also come equipped with advanced features like four-wheel-steering, all-wheel-drive, and an electronic limited-slip differential, enhancing their dynamic performance.

The pricing for this special edition has not been revealed, but it is expected to cost more than the regular Continental GT Speed, which is approximately $280,000. The Le Mans Collection is a unique opportunity for Bentley enthusiasts to own a piece of the brand's history, paying homage to the company's significant achievements at Le Mans while celebrating its commitment to luxury and performance.
